| I was working on a candle stick, a little
larger than an inch in diameter. I wanted 4 slots cut by the parting
tool. I wanted the slots a 1/4" apart, & I was usin;g a parting tool
tha twas a 1/4" thick. I got another tool whose shaft was 1/4" thick
and put it next to the first slot pointing down between the workpiece and
the tool rest. Then I put the parting tool next to the other tool,
removed the other tool and help the tool in place and got fairly good
spacing. With practice I think this can be very accurate. |
